Quality auditing training

Looking to build skills internally to critically assess compliance?
Looking for accredited training?
Is your organisation big and ugly enough for an internal schedule of audits?

Internal quality auditing
Internal quality auditing is objective study of the extent to which a service or project is complying with program standards or other regulatory requirements. The objective is to provide the board or committee of management and people working in the organisation with confidence that they know where things stand in terms of compliance.

This two day course focuses on the processes of planning and preparing for a quality audit, collecting data, and managing the process through to the creation of an improvement plan. There is some theory, time for exchanging experiences, and some practical exercises.

Participants will acquire the necessary skills to conduct internal quality audit processes in single program contexts within their organisations. The intended learning outcomes are that participants will be able to-

  • Plan and prepare for an internal quality audit
  • Manage the collection of data for a quality audit
  • Analyse information and prepare a report on a quality audit

If you take up the course on an accredited basis, Statements of Attainment will be provided for the following Certificate IV Business Services units on completion of necessary assessment exercises -

  • BSBAUD401A - Prepare for a quality audit
  • BSBAUD402A - Participate in a quality audit

The course is offered through Registered Training Providers which are partners of Community Link. For information about pricing and course dates available, check out the information about our partners and the links to their websites.

Alternatively, the course can be tailored and offered on a non-accredited basis, particularly to clients that wish to fill an entire course. Please contact us if you wish to consider this option, so that dates, a venue and pricing can be discussed.

People trained in internal quality auditing may wish to use Foundations First® software.

Diploma of Business (Quality Auditing)

If your organisation is large enough, with enough diversity in its activities, you may wish to establish an internal compliance program to assist in the managing of quality requirements and risk. A key element of such a program is the planning and implementation of an ongoing schedule of audits across of range of programs and activities.

Participants wishing to manage broad compliance requirements across numerous programs, are encouraged to undertake the Diploma of Business (Quality Auditing). In addition, people wishing to become peer auditors or to participate in external independent quality auditing, should consider the full Diploma.

The course provides concentrated and comprehensive training in the theory and practice of quality auditing, including the use of the Foundations First® method. It establishes the skills, knowledge and techniques that are required to effectively identify and manage risks, operate a program for compliance management, monitor compliance over time, and undertake preventative and corrective action to improve compliance and risk management. An important emphasis of the course is to create efficiencies in compliance management across service programs.

Participants in the course will learn both theoretically and experientially. The course will be spent learning about quality auditing, risk management and compliance strategies, and looking at the management challenges that are faced by many service organisations. Participants have the opportunity to use the assessment processes in their own workplace, and to receive guidance and feedback on those activities.
